New Winnetou actor at Karl May Fest

Bad Segeberg, Germany. A new Winnetou has been found: Jan Sosniok takes on the role of the noble Apache at the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg. The 44-year-old actor will thus follow in the footsteps of Pierre Brice, Gojko Mitic and Erol Sander, who were among the top three performers of the Winnetou character. "I am very honored and am really happy, to take part in a great legacy," Sosniok said. In addition, Wayne Carpendale as Old Shatterhand and Winnetou's sister Sophie Wepper as Nsho-chi in "Winnetou I - Blood Brothers" will be shown. Gojko Mitic, who has played for many years Winnetou, returns as the Apache chief Intshu-tshuna, Winnetou's father. The outdoor season runs from June 22 to September 1, 2013.
