Happy 90th Birthday Miguel Lluch

Miguel Lluch Suñé was born on October 23, 1922 in Sète, Hérault, Languedoc-Roussillon, France to Spanish parents. He went to work when he was only 13 years at UGT, in the painters' guild cleaning paintbrushes. Dividing the union between Painters and Graphic Arts was required by artists and he learned to draw alongside some of the biggest names of the time. He went on to work in film, even during the Spanish Civil War, in Antifascist Editions, collaborating with Ignacio F. Iquino in IFISA as a decorator (a total of 16 titles, including “El Judas” and “Fuego en la sangre”) and then as a director. Lluch directed one Euro-western “The Lawless Mountain” (1953). Throughout his life he has combined work in both film and television with the graphic arts, drawing and painting. He’s also collaborated in publishing by illustrating books, such as the first edition of the book Los niños tontos by Ana Maria Matute and drew professionally for Jose Ortiz SA. An exhibition of his works was held in 1998 in Stockholm Gli Angelini. Today we celebrate the 90th birthday of Miguel Lluch.
